About this Service
One of our specialty services is our Board and Train program! Please be aware, however, that we do believe in the important bond that is created between owner and dog when they learn trained behaviors together. However, we recognize that this is not always possible. Therefore, we take board and train clients on a case-by-case basis only and not everyone will qualify.
We encourage you to enquire about our board and train program if you feel that it might be right for you. We may offer this service to, for example, an owner who cannot physically train their dog themselves. Another possibility might be if you are intending to board your dog while out of town and need help with extra training during that time. Boarding
During your dog’s stay at Enchanted Ranch, they will live with us as they live in your own home. We try to keep their routine consistent wherever possible! This means that regardless of whether your dog is crated, sleeps in your living room, or even in your bed – we will ensure they have the same sleeping arrangement with us!
Additionally, we are happy to accommodate any special instructions for feeding or medication.
During a stay with us, your dog will be socialized with both our dogs and other dogs who may be boarding as well. Due to this, dogs who are well-socialized, who do well with other dogs, and who prefer to be in a home environment will do best at Enchanted Ranch. Unfortunately, we are not equipped to board dogs who are dog aggressive.
Training
During a board and train, we will conduct two 30-minute training sessions per day. If you stay for a week, we will work on household commands every day, and will work on other situational training six days in a week.
During our training sessions, we can tackle a variety of different hopes you may have for your dog! From basic commands, to crate training, jumping, counter-surfing, and door greetings, we can address most behavioral issues. We can also help teach crate training, potty training, and conduct socialization.
For training to be as effective as possible, we encourage you to board and train your dog for more than one week, and preferably two weeks.
Health and Safety
For the health and safety of our dogs and all dogs that come to Enchanted Ranch, we require that your dog must not have been to dog park for the past 3 weeks before coming, and that they have up-to-date vaccines including Bordetella (Kennel Cough). Should an outbreak of Kennel Cough or Flu Virus occur at Enchanted Ranch, we will notify all of our clients who have been to our facility in the past 7 days, and will have to close down and clean accordingly.
Pricing
Our board and train is priced at $450 for 1 week. Any additional days are $70 per day.
Pickup after 5pm will accrue an extra $20 fee
Holiday Fees: extra $10 per dog, per day (the week of Thanksgiving, December 21st through January 3rd, and 4th of July weekend)
